Micky is passionate about helping people pursue their best life possible with the resources they have -- their time, talent, finances, health and relationships. A servant leader at heart, Micky sees his client families and colleagues as an extension of his personal family. His approach to wealth management is shaped by over 25 years of industry experience directly advising high net worth individuals and families through various seasons of life, as well as observing and coaching other advisors across thousands of client situations.

Professional Experience

Prior to partnering with Eversource Wealth Advisors, Micky served as President and Chief Compliance Officer of JWA Financial Group, a private wealth management firm in Dallas, TX. Micky played an instrumental role in the successful acquisition of JWA Financial Group to Buckingham Strategic Wealth. After the acquisition, he continued his wealth advisory services within Buckingham, successfully growing his practice from $177M (in assets under management) to over $450M.

During this time, Micky developed key relationships with attorneys, CPAs and other professionals in the Dallas market to better serve high net worth clients with complex needs. Micky also founded and led the Buckingham Fellowship of Christian Advisors, a national peer group focused on the integration of faith and finances. Prior to JWA and Buckingham, Micky served as Executive Director over USAA's Wealth Management department. Micky was responsible for leading and coaching over 100 financial planners, and played a key role in the merger of USAA's financial planning department, trust services, and select (high net worth) services.

Personal Summary

Micky has enjoyed 27 years of wedded bliss to his college sweetheart, Melanie. They are blessed with three daughters who keep them quite busy attending band performances, piano recitals, tennis matches and competitive swim meets. In Micky's spare time, he gravitates to activities that keep him mentally, physically, and spiritually fit -- including reading, fitness training, and being involved in his local church. Micky also enjoys guest speaking on "living life with purpose" and teaching Biblical principles of finance within local churches and private schools.
